Easy Light Firewood Pack

The Easy Light Firewood Pack includes the firewood and fire-starting essentials required to establish and maintain a strong, dependable fire. The one-tonne firewood load is supplied as two clearly defined components: approximately 750kg of Standard Split Ironbark and approximately 250kg of Double Split Ironbark.

The Standard Split Ironbark provides the larger pieces needed for longer burning and sustained heat. The Double Split Ironbark is supplied specifically for easier lighting and establishing a strong coal bed before the larger pieces are added. This gives you the benefits of both split sizes without needing to split larger logs yourself.

Firewood is a natural product. Exact piece size, thickness, shape, colour, bark content and the blend within each load may vary slightly.

The pack is designed so each component supports the next stage of the fire. Begin with the firelighter and kindling, use the smaller Double Split Ironbark to establish the fire, then add Standard Split Ironbark for longer-lasting heat.

1. Prepare the firebox: Remove excessive ash if required and make sure the air controls are open according to the instructions for your fireplace or heater.
2. Position the firelighter: Place one A&M Firelighter in the centre of the firebox.
3. Add kindling: Arrange dry kindling loosely around and above the firelighter, leaving enough space for air to move through the stack.
4. Light the firelighter: Use the included matches to ignite the firelighter.
5. Establish the flame: Allow the kindling to catch properly before adding heavier timber.
6. Add Double Split Ironbark: Place several smaller Double Split pieces over the burning kindling. Avoid overloading the firebox or smothering the flame.
7. Build a bed of coals: Let the smaller Ironbark pieces burn until the fire is stable and a hot coal base begins to form.
8. Add Standard Split Ironbark: Add one or more larger pieces to provide a slower, longer-lasting burn.
9. Maintain the fire: Continue adding Standard Split pieces as required. Use smaller Double Split pieces whenever the fire needs a quicker lift or easier re-establishment.

Important: Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for your fireplace, wood heater or slow-combustion heater. Do not use treated, painted, manufactured or chemically contaminated timber.

Ironbark is one of Australia’s most respected firewood timbers. Its dense hardwood structure allows it to burn steadily, produce strong heat and form a dependable bed of coals.

Each split performs a different role. Double Split Ironbark helps the fire establish more easily, while Standard Split Ironbark provides the longer, steadier burn needed for ongoing heating. Together, they create a more practical firewood supply from first light through to sustained warmth.

The Easy Light Pack is designed around this balance: enough Double Split Ironbark to make lighting and rebuilding the fire easier, with the majority supplied as Standard Split Ironbark for dependable, long-lasting heating.

• Store firewood and kindling in a dry, covered and well-ventilated location.
• Keep timber raised off damp ground wherever possible.
• Protect the firelighters and matches from moisture.
• Do not tightly seal stored firewood in plastic, as ventilation helps prevent moisture build-up.
• Use the smaller Double Split pieces during the early stages of the fire.
• Add Standard Split pieces once a stable flame and coal bed have developed.
• Avoid adding too much firewood at once, as this can restrict airflow and reduce the flame.
• Follow the operating instructions supplied with your heater or fireplace.

Firewood deliveries are made to a safe and accessible kerbside, driveway or agreed delivery point. Please make sure there is suitable access for the delivery vehicle and enough space for the firewood to be unloaded.

Move the firewood and included products to a dry, covered storage area as soon as practical after delivery. Delivery timing can vary during periods of high seasonal demand.
